this review. Really a great game. From what I know of medieval tactics and history there is a high degree of accuracy, but what would you expect from a game backed by Channel 4.
Unfortunatly/fortunatly some people haven't heard of intelligent combination of arms and insist on throwing a load of horses at my side and expecting to automatically win. Doesn't work they just get surronded and cut off by superior numbers of infantry.
Anyway this game really allows for inventive play. I think the morale system on the whole is great especially the massive drop if you have the misfortune to lose the command unit, but it is open to abuse by massing the cheapest units (biggest possible army) and basically chanting the enemy to death.
looks like the guy below can't read :p mouse control is an option. On the game I think like carrying over units between battle's would make more sense.
You get a five, because it was a well executed game that works. Other than that it doesn't have the charm that it did on the old gameboy, no cramped fingers and hunched back gained from hours of playing for me :(
I really enjoyed playing this. Although I would have to quibble with the likely hood of the same commander fighting for all four houses. I mean I can see why a BNC commander would switch to fighting for Mayorzorian Force once he/she realised that the government was corrupt, but then to fight for JAC? NO! In my humble opinion (storywise) it'd be better if the player went straight into commanding SMC units. I would write far more about the little features I enjoyed such as the face the autocannon bear make's on dying, EPIC :P.

Excellent game
